Terms of service

Short version: Toolvana is provided free, as-is, with no warranty. Use it for any legal purpose. Don't break things. Don't blame us for outcomes.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Toolvana ("the Service") at https://toolvana.aravindlabs.tech, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Aravind Labs ("we", "us") based in India.

2. License to use

We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Toolvana for personal, educational, and commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

  • You retain full ownership of any files, text, images, audio, or other inputs you provide.
  • You retain full ownership of any outputs you generate, subject to third-party model/library licenses (where applicable, these are documented in each tool's interface).
  • Generated images from AI tools (via Pollinations.ai) may be used commercially as of the date these Terms are effective; we will update this section if their licensing terms change.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law (Indian or otherwise).
  • Generate, distribute, or store content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, defamatory, fraudulent, or infringes intellectual property.
  • Generate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any form — this is reported to authorities.
  • Attempt to compromise the Service through automated scraping at high volumes, denial-of-service attempts, code injection, or other malicious means.
  • Resell or rebrand the Service as your own.
  • Reverse-engineer or modify the site to remove privacy protections or ads.

4. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
  • Warranties about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content generated by the tools (especially AI-generated content, calculator outputs, legal templates, and financial figures).

Specifically: Financial calculators (EMI, tax, gratuity, etc.) are educational guides only — always verify with a qualified professional before making financial decisions. Legal templates are starting points only — always consult a lawyer before signing. AI-generated text and images may contain errors, biases, or inaccuracies — always review before publishing.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aravind Labs and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of profits, data, files, business, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.
  • Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the output.
  • Loss of data in your browser (localStorage, IndexedDB) due to browser bugs, your own actions, or third parties.
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions.
  • Any third-party content, services, or libraries used by the Service.

Our aggregate liability shall not exceed ₹100 (INR one hundred) or the amount you have paid us in the prior 12 months — whichever is greater. Since the Service is currently free, this typically equals ₹100.

6. Third-party content and services

The Service uses third-party libraries (pdf-lib, transformers.js, MediaPipe, etc.) and free APIs (Pollinations.ai, postalpincode.in, Google Input Tools). These come with their own licenses and terms. We do not control or endorse third-party services and are not responsible for their availability or behavior.

7. Advertising

The Service may display advertising through Google AdSense and other ad networks (only after user consent). Ads are clearly distinguishable from content. We do not endorse advertised products or services. We are not party to any transaction between you and an advertiser. Click responsibility (and clickfarm fraud risk) lies with you and the ad network.

8. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any feature) at any time without notice. Specifically: tools may be added, removed, renamed, or merged. URLs may change with appropriate redirects where reasonable.

9. Modifications to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason — including (without limitation) breach of these Terms. Since we do not require accounts, termination is enforced via IP-based blocking when necessary.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aravind Labs, its operators, and affiliates from any claim or demand (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or your unlawful use of the Service.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The Indian Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 apply where relevant.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aravind Labs regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
